Who are Socrates?

Socrates (Pronounced: so·kruh·teez) is a cutting-edge company at the intersection of social media and blockchain technology. We are dedicated to revolutionising the way people communicate and exchange ideas. Our platform is built on the principle of rewarding knowledge sharing and promoting dialogue, with a mission to engage dialogue and foster community. With robust privacy features and a transparent reward system, Socrates is redefining the social media experience for thinkers, debaters, and wisdom seekers everywhere.

How did it all start?

The idea of Socrates was born out of the need to provide a social media platform with high quality content that isn't dictated by what big tech companies want users to see. Many web2 platforms have received plenty of controversy for some of the ways they've used customer data, and controlled what they are exposed to.

With mainstream media dictating collective human thought, we noticed that many individuals struggle to think for themselves. We wanted Socrates to inspire individuals to engage in deep thought to open up discussion, promoting mutual understanding and inclusivity among individuals, nations, and countries.

We're big proponents of the value of web3 and crypto, and want to utilise the benefits of this technology to contribute to the exploration of new kinds of civilisation for humanity and change the world forever.

In the future, we want Socrates to host a yearly event where we will invite governments and thinkers to come together and debate important world issues, from environmental concerns to poverty, much like they do on the Socrates platform.
